In winter, hot tea is frequently consumed to warm the body and soul, but does this involve some health problems?

The results of a new scientific study published in the journal (Annals of Internal Medicine) revealed that consuming hot tea may have serious health problems.

Where the researchers explained that the study, despite the many benefits of tea, but that eating it at a very high temperature would affect health negatively.

The researchers note that hot tea consumption with this temperature, and by a certain group of people, may increase the risk of esophageal cancer, which is the eighth most common type of cancer in the world, according to the International Fund for International Cancer Research.

According to this study, consuming hot tea on a daily basis may increase the risk of esophageal cancer, especially among smokers and alcohol users.

The researchers pointed out that tobacco, alcohol, and substances in tea with high temperatures interact with each other to negatively affect human health.

The researchers were able to reach these results by targeting 556,155 adults, ranged between 30-79 years, and were followed for a period of approximately 9 years.

During the study period, researchers found the following:

1,731 people have esophageal cancer
The risk of esophageal cancer increased about five times in smokers, alcohol users, and hot tea.
Whoever consumed hot tea and did not smoke or use alcohol, he did not raise his risk of cancer.
Based on these results, the researchers emphasized the necessity of selecting daily habits and behaviors, in order not to affect human health negatively.
